Neon Tropics

Neon tropics weekender trousers pants

These neon weekender trousers are what I’m all about right now!

I have to say, I never thought these would be easy to wear but boy was I wrong. Not only are they easy to pair with basics (no-brainer there), they are also very comfie! In love with them and I got this pair on sale = YESSSS ^^

I am very tempted to get more of such similar trousers, BKK anyone…?

Dr. Martens x Poshism Giveaway

Dr. Martens x Poshism Giveaway photoshoot.

Somehow, amidst lectures and the closure of yet another semester I find myself having the spare time to do something apart from being a student.

It’s true, though — I have other shoes to fill.

And this time, literally! It’s not my first time frolicking about in these Dr. Martens, and for the sake of demonstrating how versatile these boots can be, as well as for the curious mind who might take interest in how fast my hair can change in just four months, do check out my previous look here.

So last weekend I got all dressed up and slathered on more makeup than I could handle, then hopped onto a bike and traveled to a quiet street in Tanjong Pagar for this photo shoot. I had fun.

Go Denim! Ely’s (21st) Denim Birthday Party

Denim Blue & White Birthday Party with a DIY tissue paper bunting :)

After two months or so of planning, my 21st birthday party has finally come and gone!

With much help from K, my cousin Athalie and my family (with the last minute decor, ha)… Thank God the party was a success. Everyone enjoyed themselves, I do believe, and it went according to how I’d planned — more or less.

It’s never going to be perfect because of the perfectionist that I am (yikes), but even then.

Yayyers, I’m twenty-one at last!

Go denim!

Chasing Sunlight

Mellow summer hues paired with a flash of electric blue and my lime green Longchamp.

It’s summer, and the setting sun is always the prettiest.

K left for Bangkok this morning, and the day before he did, we went on a date to continue our search for my birthday outfit as well as to take a few pretty photographs.

Despite being dressed in mellowed summer hues, I certainly did not forget my flashes of colour.

What am I wearing today? (Plus teasers for my next recipe!)

Made For Walkin’

My favourite feet candy: red patent lamper 1641 Dr. Martens boots.

Yesterday was a great day to be out. Finally, no summer rain but glorious sunshine.

Since K’s back from Gold Coast, we made a date to catch Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and to spend an afternoon gallivanting downtown in search of a “birthday suit” (take it literally) for my 21st party just a month and a half away!

Excited to wear my new studded LBD (loot from a flea market scavenging on Sunday), I paired it with my red booties for a day out walkin’ 🙂

Little Sailor Girl

Candid!

I love dress up parties.

Usually I find it a bother to search for an outfit to put together, but I often end up really satisfied with the outcome. Like this one.

My girlfriend’s 21st birthday party was last Saturday, themed “AHOY!”. Instead of the mermaids she suggested girls to dress up as (since she was a sea goddess), I decided on being a little sailor girl.

I’ve been told one time too many lately that I take these themed parties too seriously. It’s probably true.
